Arrive at Every Conversation Better Prepared
Our programmes do not sell financial products — they give you the vocabulary and context to have more useful conversations with the professionals who do. A worthwhile distinction.
Why Foxbarrow
What Makes the Difference
Education, Not Sales
No products are pitched inside our sessions. The content exists purely to inform — what you do afterward is entirely your choice.
Unhurried Pace
Sessions are structured so that each concept settles before the next arrives. Comprehension over speed — every time.
Malaysian Context
EPF, private retirement schemes, and local product structures are woven into the curriculum rather than treated as footnotes.
Small Group Format
Cohorts are kept intentionally small so facilitators can address individual questions and discussion stays substantive.
Printed Materials
Most programmes include a physical reader or workbook — something to annotate and revisit after the sessions have ended.
Independent Facilitation
Foxbarrow has no affiliation with any financial institution, insurer, or product distributor. The curriculum is built around publicly available educational sources.
Common Questions
Questions We Hear Often
Do I need financial knowledge before joining?
No prior background is expected. The introductory workshop is designed for someone who has never read a pension document in their life. The vocabulary programme and cohort build gently from there.
Will the facilitator recommend products or funds?
No — and this is an important distinction. Foxbarrow is an educational provider, not a licensed financial advisory firm. We explain concepts and structures; personal recommendations on products must come from a licensed adviser who knows your situation.
Are sessions delivered in English only?
Our standard programmes run in English. Facilitators often clarify in Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin where useful during Q&A, but the printed materials are in English.
Where are sessions held?
Most sessions run at our venue in Persiaran KLCC. Occasional sessions are held at partner locations around the Klang Valley. Exact venue details are confirmed at enrolment.
What happens if I miss a session in the cohort?
For the reading cohort, each week's discussion notes are shared with all participants. If you miss a session, you can catch up through the notes and continue with the group. The printed reader remains yours.
